About B2022

Ticketmaster being the official ticketing partner for Birmingham 2022 (B2022) Commonwealth Games was responsible for designing the ticketing platform in sync with branding guidelines for all the events of CWG 2022.

The team

I worked as “Individual Contributor” with my manager Suman Kukreti.

Collaborated with internal stakeholders, Business Analysts and Dev team.

My Role

Being an individual contributor, I was responsible for:

• Responsive UX Design
• Designing graphic patterns based on the branding of events
• Design QA and Dev Support

Process followed

Considering all the constraints in mind I decided to conduct following research activities to come up with my design decisions:

Focus group discussion (with stakeholders and BA) - to understand the event requirements & user demographics.

Competitive analysis - to understand the kind of layouts being used in the industry to solve such kind of problems

Heuristic analysis - to analyse existing features and flows of Ticketmaster Ticketing Development Infrastructure.

• Separate exclusive flows for Key Clients.
• Enable Key Clients to wishlist their tickets and access all their privileges easily.
• Maintain given brand guidelines in the UI.

Learnings

• I learned the basics of WCAG Guideline and how to make accessible product designs.
• How to present your design decisions effectively. Learned and polished myself on the parameter of Design Advocacy. I thank to my Design Director Aman Nigam.
